32 weeks 5 days pregnant and bleeding. Help, its Sunday and the Dr's office does not have answering service!

I know it is strange, just another reason why I HATE my Dr's practice. They do not have anyone on call after hours or during the weekend. They tell you if you think it is urgent enough to call the emergency room. Nice, hah?
Well my fiance and I had sex last night & there was immediatly blood on him and myself. We noticed it did not smell very pleassant at all. We cleaned up & there was just the faintest pink spotting after that. I went to bed and felt very slightly in my abdomen like I was having a period. Not cramping really, you know that feeling like you are going to start soon? Just that, slight enough that I was able to fall asleep for most the night only waking a couple times because the baby was moving, (so a good sign). When I woke this morning though there was quite a bit more blood. None in my paints but when I wiped and wiped and wiped there was darker red blood and more than last night. I just took a shower to clean up and see if there will be more.....MORE

Now I am just waiting to see if it is serious enough to go to the emergency room or to wait until they are open tomorrow morning. I do not know what to to at this point and I do not know if there is cause for concern. I have not had one spot of blood this entire pregnancy. What could it be, and should I be rushing to the emergency room? I am very concerned and just want a healthy baby in the end after all I have been through for the last 33 weeks.
One more piece, I have IBS (irritable Bowel Syndrom) and I always have very soft mucousy stool, but my stools for that last 24 hours have been very hard, which is not usual for me. Could that tie into it at all. Please, any advice would be so helpful. Thank you all in advance!

Wow! People are real dramatic arent they! There is no need to rush to the emergency room. Many times in pregnancy there can be bleeding with no complications. Call the nurses in the maternity ward as someone else suggested and otherwise wait unil tomorrow to call your doctor. He may want to see you, but will probably just ask you a bunch of questions and tell you to take it easy the rest of your pregnancy. You must also have an appointment coming up soon with where you are in your pregnancy, so he will probably just wait to see you then.

Go to hospital, if you feel strange....

better to go to the emergency, to be on the safe side.

call the hospital you plan on going to have the baby at and talk to one of the nurses at the maternity ward and see what they say.
