I have been an at home mom for 10 years I currently run a small-homebase bus. However, due to marriage break-?

up I need a study income so I have been looking for a job. My past work history is office/clerical and customer service. I am also looking to relocate to Arizona. I have been applying online to companies in AZ. Any suggestions on how I can make this transition with no current outside work experience.

Being an at home mom means you have the following skills:
Organization, neogitiation, deadline planning, communication, come in early, stay late, don't take breaks, never use a vacation day, manual labor, multi tasking, decision making, taxi, budgeting to name a few. You are highly qualified for alot of jobs. Being an at home mom is like working 2 full time jobs.

The market is tight right now so do not get down on yourself. You will find something....just keep praying!

Good luck!

I think your in the wrong section...

Irregular incomes suck! My husband and I both have irregular incomes so I know where you are coming from. Why not add something to your already existing home based business? Something that requires little or no start up money. You dont want to go into debt to start a business. Here are a few ideas but, I would highly reccomend doing something that you would enjoy. To add in a small regular income, maybe you could pick up a paper route for a short period of time.

1. Childcare in your home. This is a ton of work and it might not be for everyone. Maybe you could do a before and after school program so that you are not tied down all day every day! Buy some toys at goodwill very inexpensivley. Go on the 50% off day to get the best deal.

2. Cleaning business- place an add in the free classifieds near the new city that you are moving to. I know cleaning houses or offices may not be the best job in the world but one of my best friends makes over $100,000 a year with her company. She started small and built it up. Now she has 4 employees working for her . She laughingly says I might clean toilets for a living but I am completely debt free and living very comfortably.

3. Think about making soap or lotion that is environmentally friendly. This is the new big thing! You could sale online or from a local flea market.

Goodluck in whatever you choose to do. I would highly consider how you could potentially start your own business. Try reading Mommy Millionaire its a good book to get you started. Clerical work is a low paying job. If you have to start there, consider taking some classes at your local community college to get you up to speed for a better paying career. Let's face it, wouldn't you rather make a living for yourself opposed to helping some other company make money? God Bless!
