Is my objective too long?

A bright, outgoing and conscientious person with experience in customer service and working in a highly demanding office; who has a desire to gain experience in the (insert field) where I can utilize my communication skills in a friendly work environment.

Im a corporate communication major and im not sure what jobs ill be applying for, thats why the "insert field" is there.

Too long? all suggestion would be greatly appreciated

I think you are selling yourself too much in your objective. Try somehitn more like
My objective is to enter a challenging and rewarding career in the XXXX field while utilizing my customer service and office experinece

Yes narrow it down to one or two short sentences

I know this doesn't answer your question directly, but I personally am a fan of doing a "Skills Summary" where you list your major skills *instead* of doing an objective. I think it's easier for employers to see if you're good for the job that way, and it will help you stand out in a stack of resumes.

Objective statements are soooo 2007!

Your objective statement is good but instead of taking up valuable space on your 1 page resume you should eliminate it so you have more room to list your skills and experience.

Turn this objective statement into your cover letter.

Sounds good. I like it.
