What is wrong with saying many americans are angry and bitter at our government?

certainly explains quite well the feelings of many people I have talked to about our government and how it seems to actually be there to work against the interests of american citizens. How should you describe how people feel abour record budget deficits, record trade deficits, record outsourcing of jobs, loss of 15% of our manufacturing to overseas cheaper labor sources, record illegal immigration invasion with the illegals taking millions of jobs, depressing wages, and using up scarce social service resources...and of course contributing to rising crime, record consistently high gas prices, record unaffordability of health care even for working american citizens, 2 wars going on that seem pretty much to be wars without end that could literally keep going as they are easily for another 10 or 20 years etc....

So its now a problem to speak honnesly while running for office? A candidate can't even describe that the people are unhappy?

I find this extremely funny.

I was a little confused this past weekend when Hillary Clinton called Barack Obama's comments about "bitter" small town voters as "elitist." But then I realized that with the $100 million income the Clintons have made this past decade, along with their tony home in Westchester County, New York, if there is anyone who should be the final arbiter about elitism, it is Hillary Clinton.

Due to this laughable "controversy" there has been a renewed discussion on the economic well-being of small-town America. And just like the Iraq war, pursuing al Qaida in Pakistan, and the anger of Black Americans, it is a discussion that Hillary Clinton and John McCain have solidly been on the wrong side of. Despite their efforts, Hillary and McCain have been unable to shape the dialogue on these issues as Obama has. The simple fact that Obama has repeatedly pointed out unacknowledged truths, despite the obfuscations raised by Hillary and McCain, is perhaps the most presidential trait displayed by any of the candidates so far this election season.

There is nothing wrong with that. Its a false controversy.

Oh, by the way, you forgot the record foreclosures. They are also bitter because of the record foreclosure rate on their homes.

And yes, I know personally that many people facing this meltdown, are clinging to religion to save them since they do not see actual reality as showing them a way out. Obama is 100% on target. People are clinging to religion for hope and they are clinging to their guns because crime is rising as more and more people suffer. Have you noticed how crime has gone up in your neighborhood? or how these random shootings at random stores and malls or work places are happening in greater numbers?

Nothing is wrong with saying that Americans are bitter and angry, but that is not the reason they care about family, gun ownership or religion. Obama is again exercising his ability to spin his statements to suit his narcissistic needs.
