Which computer company?

I'm 14 years old and i'm buying a new desktop to replace my old dell. I will be doing homework and gaming. i've looked at a lot of companies and can't decide which to go with. I can either go with options, i can wither go with dell or Ibuypower. With dell i'm garanteed good service but a bit on the expensive side. with ibuypower i get to make my own system without having to build it. My spending limit is around 2,500 and this include microsoft office 2007 and a 22 inch monitor. I am really stuck and need some help, if you support or oppose one of the options please explain why, so i can make my choice off what you said. Also it isn't a system i plan to reglurary upgrade.

Go with this computer.....

My only recommendation would be to go to 4GB of RAM instead of 2 in this beast. Otherwise, this is a sick ahead of its time system. I build computers and I recommend this unit for you.

That's a LOT of money for a computer.

Couple years ago I got a nice tablet PC (with office included...) for under $1800... and those things are pricey compared to desktops.

HP are also a good brand (given that they made the laptop, which has been solid all this time, bar a couple of driver niggles)

Hang on a sec --- $2500 and 14 years old? How the hell did that happen? (That was our whole-family computer budget when I was 14 and we got our first PC...)
Put half of it into upgrading your old one (you can probably keep a lot of the parts, just beef up the CPU/mobo/graphics card, and increase the RAM), which will then be schweet, and put the other half into a high interest savings account. Seriously. You'll thank me later. Particularly given how f****d the economy is right now.

$2500 bucks? Save your money and buy a car when you turn 16. You can get more dates with a car than a computer.
