Do I need a degree and license in paralegal in other to render legal services for money?

I have a degree in Philosophy and i realy do not want to go to law school. But i want to have my own office where i can render legal services to the public. What step do i need in other to achive this goal. if you think is not possible what other career path do i take for some one who likes law without having to go back to school? your well thought advice will be greatly appreciated.

You are not qualified to dispense legal advice. A degree in philosophy isn't very relevant to going to law school, which you will have to do if you want to be a lawyer. You will also have to pass the bar exam for your state. I must stress this again, you are not qualified to dispense legal advice, please don't try. Lawyers go through years of schooling and then must take continuing education every year. You have a degree in philosphy use that for it's intended purpose.

what u want to do is a ticket str8 to jail. you can become a paralegal without a license do that.

Ok...HOW can you be a paralegal without knowing anything about law?

Don't take short-cuts...see a counselor at a school and do it legally.

The others are correct, you CANNOT practice law, render legal advice or services unless you are an attorney. And since you are not...why would you even think you could? What qualifies you? A philosophy degree? Are you serious?!?! You could be criminally charged as well as sued by those you rendered legal advice to. If you want to be a lawyer the only way to do it is to attend and pass law school and pass the state bar exam. There are no other options. Sorry.

And paralegals, even with training and education, cannot give legal advice or services unless they work under direct supervision of an attorney. Paralegals can't even discuss fees/retainers with client.
