Would you try to solve local problems yourself if you could?

I mean like the problems in lots of areas like lack of affordable housing, no services for older people and babies, village shops and post offices. If you could see a way to do these things as a group with friends or neighbours instead of waiting for the council to do something, would you do it? If not what would stop you?

Little things help too.My children and I just brought canned foods to the local homeless shelter.

Yes very much so, I take a great pride in the area where I live. But one person can only do so much, the community needs the will for change to happen.

Sure but it would be illegal and they wouldn't let me do it. Here there are way too many drug pushers from Detroit selling their drugs and I'd like to make it an open season on all drug pushers.

i certainly think the people should mass to remove local councils and replace them with a peoples councils. local councils are as corrupt as hell. and they are in no way!! there to serve the people. they are there to serve themselves and their own personal interests. we are allowing them to bully us and tell us what we can and cant do!! and that is completely unexceptable so yea! i think local people could do a far better job of organising their own comunity. they are grounded and know!! whats needed by ordinary people. i would get involved with an idea like that. as long as the local council was physicaly removed. i believe they did it successfuly some where in france at one time didnt they.
