Im getting Desperate. Why can't I find a job?

I have been looking for a job for 6 months now. I live in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada I apply DAILY to at least 4-5. I follow up on some. I have 5 years of call center/customer service experience. I have not even received ONE callback from any of the call center jobs I have applied to. I have worked for 2 years as an assistant for a real estate agent. I have other office experience. I have never heard back about any office jobs I apply for. I have a good professional resume. I have even applied for cleaning jobs. I finally got one which I've had for the last month. It pays minimum wage, and only give me 2 hours a day but it's all I can get. I can barely feed myself and my dod. I own a home. I'm behind in bills. I'M DESPERATE. What can I do? What am I doing wrong? Please help. I am very depressed and don't know what to do next.

First, rewrite your CV, simplify it. No one reads more than a page today.

Second, broaden your horizons. What about changing your occupation? Apply for something else and, when asked, tell them you need a change.

Calm down. People can smell desperation, and desperation won't help you get hired.

Consider working online. There are plenty of opportunities there too.

Look over resume again. Your writing is very choppy. Read up on resume prep on web. One of most important answers is objective. This may not accurately convey your objective. Next are skills - highlight the most important and best.

Then go into work history
Last should be references upon request

It is hard to get a job today.....Keep applying, and if you dont hear from company, all them and inquire as to your application.
