Calling all Vets..A V.A. issues Question?

I'm just courious....I was diagnosed with PTSD, (Service Connected) Over a year and a half ago, but am still waiting for my claim to clear the regional office. I'm courious as to how many other vets are waiting over a year for a claim to process?
This was my 2nd claim, I was fortunate that my service connected disability claim only took a year for approval..What say you?

If you put in your claim with Regional, then they should've scheduled your for an examination, or some kind of appointments to get checked out, right? I mean, just because you say you have PTSD, they aren't going to just take your word for it, regardless if you have a claim for something else.

Try to find out if Regional has scheduled you to be checked out. Maybe there's a consult floating around out there somewhere, and some donut-eating fat bastard just hasn't felt like digging through the pile to schedule patients.

How would I know? I'm a vet (Desert Storm, Army, 3rd Inf. Div.), and I used to work at the V.A. Man, you've never seen such a collection of lazy, complacent, retirement vultures in your ******* life. If possible, enlist the help of the American Legion, or V.A.W.

If you really want to see them scramble, tell them you're having suicidal thoughts, and have calculated on taking a few motherfuckers with you into Hell.

Get in touch with your regional Counselor. They can give you insight as to what the hold up is. They might not have the information needed and are waiting on you to send more to them. www.va.gov should get ya where you need to be to find the right region and the right counselor.

That seems like a long time, I would give them a call to inquire about it.

I don't know? Mine took 6 months because I was on their *** like every week. But, that's because I still had three more surgeries left to go. So maybe that's why mine went through so fast. I would say that you have to be on them all the time. It really shouldn't take that long. If it's more then six months you really need to contect someone because chances are they have lost yours in a pile somewhere. Good luck and yes I know that VA is very annoying sometimes.

5 years, but I got a check for over $135,000 when I got it. Keep on their backs and ask for a one on one with a a psychiatrist not a psychoanalyst.
