Do you think it's just or am i getting jelous? |
Okay this is what's going on,I work in an office for a supermarket.I hold the job position of a shift manager. I am usually responsible of covering for cashiers during lunch, assisting clients, customer service, cashing checks,I deal with a lot of responsibility, and i am alway all around doing something. My manager has never had problems with me i am very responsible with my job duties. The situation is that this cashier that works for us gave my manager a 2 week notice of resignation so the manager offered her to hold a similar position as mine but with a less responsibilities.I don't think it's right because she is going to get paid the same as i do. She has been working for less than 1 year, I have been working there for 6 years. She lack many skills i have for example i speak perfect english, she lack that. I just feel like quiting. I dont think its right. What can i do?Give me tips on what to do, tomorrow she will tell him if shes takes the job or is leaving. Your essential job skill that you have, which makes you the better candidate for the job.....drumroll please... you speak perfect english... wow. please, please do NOT quit your job... spend the next year in your local community college training for something better than "shift leader" over at the piggly wiggly. Life isnt fair, do your job if u have time to worry about somone elses pay check. U are not jealous. It's not fair. U need to talk to your boss. That isn't fair but if you don't say anything then you are letting it happen. I would sit down with your boss and let him know that you aren't comfortable with the situation. Try to keep emotion out of it and stick with the facts. Let him know that based on your time there and skills that you deserve to make more then the new person. If they are offering her the same salary then they need to give you are raise. Good luck. |
