Graphic designer need office job. Can you help me get a job?

I have been unemployed for 5 months as a graphic designer. I want to get a job as a customer service representative or receptionist in Atlanta or Decatur Ga. Does anyone have any connections with anyone in this area that can help me get a job. I don't want to file for unemployment. I want to take care of myself and take the $400 a month load off my mom who pays for my loans.

Go to Linkedin.com and sign up. It is a networking site and is free. You can see if there are companies in your area or people you know who know someone who has a job you might like. I have had people call me who know people I know asking for help just like you.

Also check out some of the contracting agencies in your area. They do both temp and temp to perm jobs and it would be a way for you to "try" out a few places. There are some who place designers as well.

Check out the local TV stations. I worked at the NBC station where I live as a designer for a while. Not high paying but good experience and you could meet other designers to get you going.
