Will McCain's' Explosive Temper &his habit of leaking stories on those he hate, put another dent in his armor?

A conservative website has launched a full-frontal attack on Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), who the story says has an "irrational, explosive" temper, citing two former Republican senators and GOP aides.

At least two Democratic aides have told RAW STORY McCain has shown a similar temperament. Multiple sources have also said that McCain has a practice of leaking stories on those he doesn't get along with -- and is believed by several reporters and Senate aides to have been behind a series of leaks in the Jack Abramoff scandal. McCain's office has vehemently denied the claims.

"I have witnessed incidents where he has used profanity at colleagues and exploded at colleagues," former Senator Bob Smith, a New Hampshire Republican who served with McCain on the Senate Armed Services Committee told Newsmax in a story yesterday. "He would disagree about something and then explode. It was incidents of irrational behavior. We've all had incidents where we have gotten angry, but I've never seen anyone act like that."

According to Newsmax, "McCain's outbursts often erupted when other members rebuffed his requests for support during his bid in 2000 for the Republican nomination for president. A former Senate staffer recalled what happened when McCain asked for support from a fellow Republican senator on the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee."

"The senator explained that he had already committed to support George Bush," a former Senate staffer told the site. "McCain said 鈥榝鈥?you' and never spoke to him again."

The site added that another former senator also had gripes with McCain after a dispute.

"McCain used the f-word," the senator allegedly told Newsmax. "McCain called the guy a 鈥榮h--head.' The senator demanded an apology. McCain stood up and said, 鈥業 apologize, but you're still a sh--head.' That was in front of 40 to 50 Republican senators. That sort of thing happened frequently."

Nope, This country needs a president that has a temper that will use that temper if pushed to far, not one that will kiss the @ss of anyone that comes to him or wants to disrupt the American way of life.

If it's McCain vs. Obama, McCain isn't going to win so don't worry. Many polls have shown this to be true.

MCCAIN IS NOW OUT OF THE RACE!!

obama 08!

it hasn't finished off Hillary yet

I've yet to see this temper in all the years he's been a Senator. However, bill Clinton's temper I have seen numerous times...and he certainly hasn't helped his wife with it this year!
ps--people with tempers usually have a low bullsh!t threshhold...that's a good thing!

Senator McCain's temper is legendary and he's shown it to many, many people. If he doesn't like the way you ask something, you are gone. Imagine what the press pool would look like in a McCain administration.

Sadly, I doubt it. Many will will be pleased by and even support his rants.

With the crop of potential presidential candidates we currently have; neither is any more trust worthy or less childish then the other.

<<"McCain used the f-word," the senator allegedly told Newsmax. "McCain called the guy a 鈥榮h--head.' The senator demanded an apology. McCain stood up and said, 鈥業 apologize, but you're still a sh--head.' That was in front of 40 to 50 Republican senators. That sort of thing happened frequently.">>

Now I'm REALLY going to vote for him!!

McCain will stop at nothing to win. Even a person's color will not stop him. That's why Obama, if he gets the Democratic nomination, should prepare for a tough battle. The republicans will take the gloves off and expose Obama's every dirty little secret. At least we know all about Hillary.

I would rather have a maverick than a preacher. He shows strength in his actions not like the other in just words.

Well McCain was a POW for five and a half years which included periods of torture! Most people who have been the victims of something end up with a residual effect. Most people also are not living their victimization moments for five and a half years. So if he wants to burst out and swear by all means let him he scarified 5 and a half years of his life because he was an American who wanted to fight for his country!!
As for leaking the story was it him personally or someone who is working for him??? Doesn't really matter cause most politicians do it. Just like his story about him and the lobbyist I don't think he was the one that leaked that out!!

The irony of it all, is there are "holier-than-thou" right wingers, who hate this about him, but will reluctantly vote for him when they can no longer rebel against this inevitable Republican nominee. I guess that's why so many still haven't given up on Huckabee. Then, there are also people who are impressed by McCain's irrational behavior, you know, the people who were afraid of bullies in school so they "made nice" with them. Unfortunately, these weakminded individuals grow up and vote. How do you think we ended up with the guy we have in the oval office now? :(

If that is a disqualification for being President then Hillary is gone too. She's got a potty mouth that would make a sailor blush. And she does it about things that flat aren't important. They just aren't the way SHE wants them to be.
