Should politicians be accountable for the excessive overbudget spending? |
Cities going bankrupt, Ca state 13 billion over budget local cities overspending and cutting health and safety services, where will it end??? Its easy to spent someone elses money but they might think twice if the politicians had to pay the overages out of their pocket and get removed from office immediately. Something must be done soon or we are going too fast down that slippery hill. Whom else would you like to blame? Vote for candidates that want to increase taxes proportionate to what the citizens want for services. Nothing is fee. I agree that there needs to be accountability on a personal level in government. When we vote, we expect that those we are voting for have this valuable human quality and yet, are constantly reminded that it is not a part of the politician's credo. What can we do but wait to vote them out of office with a hope that the next one will have a conscience? It is a long way to go to get good quality when the rank is so full of wanna be's. |
