Post office did not service me because i got there 6 minutes before they close, Can they do that?

They did not want to help me and ask me to leave for the day?
Is that legally? is there anything i can do legally? I am really unhappy, Worked to hard to get all my mail ready (about 40 packages) so they can ask me to leave? I called in and made a complaint but still can't eat my dinner because i am feeling blue

I can't get over it, I am not crazy, mentally very healthy but some how this really really made me upset.
Can i do anything?

Yes they can...if you had 40 packages they could not process them in 6 minutes....they would have had to pay the employess overtime to take care of you......

That doesn't sound right to me. They're supposed to lock the door at closing time, and serve everyone who's inside, I believe. I'd complain to the supervisor.

40 Packages in 6 minutes is not enough time, you were too late!!

Never been late for anything before!

There is no way they could have processed all those packages. They are not forced to work overtime in a situation like this. I have seen a large post office close the window while people were waiting in line, to take their break.

- get there earlier next time
- go to a different post office with later hours
- fedex or ups

Even if what they did was illegal, you can't sue the Federal Government. Even if you could, what good would if possibly do? Besides, your watch is fast. You got there 2 minutes AFTER they close. I just made that up, but a DARE you to PROVE me wrong.
