Hold Mail Service question?

was ordering something as an anniversary surprise, but was going to be out of town when it arrived at the house but when my mom found out that I put the mail on hold for that time she freaked out and called the post office or customer service line and....can't get the mail til next week.

I logged on and tried to just cancel the request, but now they say that there is no such request.

should I just go to the nearest post office and try to get everything cleared up....or what else can I do?

Call the post office and give them your address. Ask to speak to your Letter Carrier. You'll be amazed how quickly you can resolve the issue.

I didn't have any problem when I hold my mails when I went out of town. The mail just sits in the post office. If the delivery is through USPS, they just put it in your bin stack. We had a delivery from UPS, and he left it in the back door. Of course, he knows us, that's another factor, too. If its need signature that's another factor, what to do?? When I came back, I just showed them proof of driver's license, and got my bin stack of mail!!! Call your nearest post office, they usually know what to do. Goodluck!
