Origami envelope? Will the the postal service take it?

I love personalizing/making things special for things I give out.
I'm mailing my invites, but I want to make origami envelopes - will the postal service let me?
Do I have to go the post office and mail it there? Put extra postage?

thankies!

There are several requirements you'll need to meet. There are minimum sizes, both length and width. And a maximum thickness. Certain areas of the envelope must be left blank in order to allow for stamps and barcoding. Bits and ends sticking out that might get caught in the automated machinery would also be discouraged. Even if you have it hand cancelled on this end, it still goes through sorters during various stages of the delivery process.

The www.usps.com site has all the info you'll need.

Good Luck

You can send most thngs, It shouldn't be a problem.

If you take it in they can put it in with the SPRs. They get sorted by hand. You may have to pay extra and you take the risk of them opening up during processing.

What I would do, is make them however you want and then put them inside another larger envelope. People do this all the time. You could put a little piece of cardboard in with it to keep it nice, maybe stuff it with something prety that smells good too.

good luck "-)
