Fine,so they pay a few taxes,they eat up more government benifits than they pay.Besides that,they are illegal!

And for your information,most of these do right illegals running to the tax office will get a tax return,yep,being low income and with several dependants,DUH.Two things 鈥?first, thousands of illegals, especially visa overstayers who have real Social Security numbers, are going to get checks anyway. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that's 100% true. They still break the law every single day of their lives. That's what makes them illegal immigrants.

IT'S True. A LOT of illegal immigrants pay taxes. Most of them already do if they get a paycheck, since the government automatically takes out taxes from that, no matter what.

Surprisingly, A LOT of illegal immigrants, despite being here illegally, pay their taxes and follow the law like everybody else. Yet, even though they really don't have to since the IRS can't track them, and they won't expect any benefits from those taxes like SS benefits, etc.

For a lot of illegal immigrants, being here illegally was a condition they HAD to accept in order to escape poverty, persecution, etc. Some had no choice but to flee their countries. That does NOT make them law-breaking, tax-evading criminals.

They just want the tax rebate

Maybe its because they heard of the tax rebates that the government wants to give out. If they are lining up in Massachusetts, can they line up everywhere? And if they have no true social or work id because they are illegal... how will they file. How does the IRS know they themselves paid taxes since they are illegal?

They file because they can get the EARNED INCOME CREDIT and the CHILD TAX CREDIT even though they didn't make enough to pay taxes. Also, there's the new "rebate" this year.

They are filing because they get FREE MONEY FROM THE US TAXPAYERS!!! Duh.

Most illegal criminal aliens work under the table and do NOT pay taxes.

Many illegal criminal aliens that commit identity theft (a felony), especially in the state of Arizona, which has the highest rate of identity theft in the nation. Identity theft is used to commit numerous crimes ranging from working illegally in our country, to applying for credit cards, to receiving benefits and social services the criminal isn't legally entitled to. They certainly aren't committing a felony to get a library card...common sense. Look up the stats for Arizona, it's an eye-opener!!

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter anyway. They are still illegal criminal aliens, even if 100% of them paid taxes (which will NEVER happen).

All the lame excuses in the world will NOT change the fact that they are in our country illegally. Paying taxes does not exempt you from breaking the law.

Legal immigrants and illegal alien criminals combined paid the $70 billion dollars. You are intentionally letting illegal aliens "ride on the coattails" of what the legal immigrants pay in taxes, and that's dead wrong.

That would be like claiming that Alaskans paid 5 trillion dollars in taxes because someone had said that Americans, INCLUDING Alaskans, paid 5 trillion dollars in taxes. Now, obviously that's not saying that the 627,000 people in Alaska paid 5 trillion dollars in taxes, that would mean every man,woman, and child paid over 7.9 million dollars each. They are saying that Alaskans, as part of America, contributed to the figure 5 trillion dollars. But the statement means nothing as far as determining how much Alaskans paid alone. The same as what you claim does NOT mean that illegal criminal aliens or "undocumented workers" paid 70 billion dollars in taxes. It means nothing as far as determining what 'undocumented workers', or illegal criminal aliens paid.

They are trying to file so they get the rebate check in May but since they don't have an SSN they won't receive one. Anyway I doubt this is true just like I doubt most of what you have to say. They are still just a throw away group that no one cares about and need to be removed from this nation.

They heard about the "tax rebate" that Bush is giving out and they just want their cut. To file a tax return, you must have a valid Social Security Number or Tax ID. Illegal aliens have neither!

I say the majority don't pay taxes,most who do are using stolen ID's to do so and they have taken and still are taking much more than they will ever give. They also have ulterior motives for filing,it's not to do their part or help with taxes,it's to try and save their own butts. Its a start, but I think these people are probably more the exception than the norm. Most will still avoid paying taxes. Paying taxes at least shows good intent - I'll give you that.

I always have known that they pay taxes.I just think it's funny how some will still deny it or make excuses saying that info is not right.They just hate illegals and no matter what the truth is they have it set in their little minds that they are right and you are wrong!It's quite pathetic!
