If senator McCain wins the nomination....?

...which of the following three former presidents would he most likely emulate, & why?
(1) FDR

(2) Lyndon B. Johnson

(3) Jimmy Carter

Also, would a president McCain stick to his campaign promises/statements or "waffle" to the powers behind the scene?
Lastly, senator McCain has got to be the most easily identified candidate running after the office of our CIC, including senator Clinton due to his courage during his tragic imprisonment during the Viet Nam conflict. Is he the same resolute man today as he was back in his service days in Viet Nam, or just a tired old man seeking his last shot at stardom??????

Tired old man. As to which Democratic president he would emulate, I wouldn't presume to choose between FDR and LBJ, but Jimmy Carter is too nice to use for a comparison.

Probably Carter...and he will waffle on all his "promises"
If senator mccain wins the nomination.... I will likely not vote or vote indepent.
If McCain is the nominee the Republican party WILL lose.

4) John Kerry.

The reason he resembles Kerry is because he too has no chance of winning. McCain is a liberal Republican. Nothing to be ashamed of if that is your viewpoint but it will hardly energize the Republican base.

There is absolutely no chance that liberal voters will abandon Hillary or Obama to vote for a Republic, so the result a Democratic landslide.

I also have the sneaky feeling that the mainstream media will "discover" that McCain was a member of the Keating 5. That was a group of corrupt senators that helped prop up Charles Keating, the man who helped start the Savings and Loan collapse of the 80'. I will let you decide why they have ignored it up until now.


I admire his courage and salute his Vietnam service, I do not know that I could have done the same. But that is not the only requirement for the Presidency.

As far as sticking to his promises, I guess that is doable since he has changed his mind and opinion so often he could just pick one of his many statements and follow that one.

He's an old man that "left his mind in Nam"!! I too salute the men that served. I think losing my husband to Agent Orange is enough to give!!!

He would emulate LBJ. He's not nearly as incompetent as Carter. But when the Dems bring out the Keating scandel, McCain will be toast.

Economically, only Hillary and Obama can compete with Carter.

Hopefully, our incursion into full-blown socialism will be short lived.

Me, I'm going to kill my business and get a government job or resist and pack for re-education camp.
