Does your school's reception class for 4 year olds lock the door on the stroke of nine? |
They're stickers for punctuality at our local infants' school. They lock the classroom door on the stroke of nine, any parent who arrives a second later has to go to the office and sign a declaration as to why they were late. If it happens more than a certain number of times the social services are called in (UK). my daughters class is the same. it really annoys me as they can see me through the window. the teacher has even locked the door whilst i have been about to enter before now. what makes me laugh though is they are always late unlocking the doors when you are stood outside waiting to pick them up It didn't happen at my primary school. At our school, the nursery room door opens to let the 4yr olds in. The staff are perfectly happy to have you turn up anytime that way its easier for the children to realise it is a nice relaxed, friendly place to be not somewhere that they have to be dictated to all the time. There is time enough for that when they grow up. I would speak to the other parents and see if you can guage the feeling of the group as a whole. If it is a problem for enough of you then I would request a meeting with the staff to discuss the problem. It should not be that much of a problem. at my kids school they lock the outside gates, but not till about at least 9.15. and that is a security thing for the kids. they are not so uptight about timing though. i was often a feww mins late and noone ever bothered really although i gues theyd have had a word if it happenend all the time the head master or mistress, needs to be told they are little children that should be enjoying school at that age, and if they want to be power crazy then get a job in a secondary school or college, if it was me i'd take my little one home and phone the school board to say the school was closed and i couldn't get in, and as for the sign, i'd say i can't read, (which there are a few people who can't) they would soon take the signs down, and let you in Our school locks the doors at nine and you have to go through the office but you dont have to sign anything as to why you are late and they certainly dont involve social services if this is more than a certain number of times. I would say that bit is definately not normal. |

You could go into landscape architecture. That would require you to do much of your work outside and around nature. I would suggest you and your mother contact your State's Department of Family Services. Explain the abuse and false reports to them. Also, contact an attorney that specializes in family law.... |
