Who can I report this poor hotel service to? I shall be writing letter hotel head office and disability?

When arriving back in the U S A I had to overnight in Atlanta. The driver who picked me up with the hotel/airport transportation took my bags to the room....HOWEVER when I was ready to check out I asked for help with my luggage because I do have an injured back and I am not able to lift anything heavy.
1) the front desk informed me that there was no one there to help me at 7am..and the driver was not obligated to help me with my luggage
2) they said they have a trolley to put the luggage on BUT she did not know where it was.
AND
3) the bathroom was dirty.
I had stayed at this hotel before with no problems.
Needless to say, I aggravated my back more.
Neither was there any ramp to roll down some of my luggage with wheels.

Call the hotel you are reporting. Ask them for their corporate office phone number. Call that number, tell them a little of your situation. Ask the name of the dept. and if they can give you a name to address the letter to. I have done this before. Good luck.

Write a letter of complaint to the management and write a review on tripadvisor.com that way you will get your point across to other people and tell the management that you did it as well it won't help with your situation but will maybe make management change their practices

If the bathroom was dirty, you should have let housekeeping know immediately upon check-in.
Obviously the front desk clerk could not leave her station to search for the luggage trolley, so why didn't you look for it?
If there was no one to help you with the luggage that early in the morning, why didn't you just slip the driver a five spot and tell him of your situation.
Problem solved.
Or, are you just fishing for some sort of law suit?
Forget it!

What is the name of the Hotel?

You will report it to their general manager. If you do not get any results from that then you will phone their 1800 number (on skype it will be free) and you can speak to someone.

America does not bend over backwards with respect to hotels for people.
So if I were in your shoes I'd come to expect that you are not getting breakfast with your hotel stay and you are not getting help with your bags.

If you get help with your bags once, its a miracle you should thank God for.

Sounds like a hotel that treats all of its customers poorly. I would write the letters that have been suggested and I would call and have a conversation with the front desk manager about the fact that you do not intend to return They need to hear from you personally how this will effect their bottom line.

1) If you know you needed help with your luggage at 7AM you should have let them know when you checked in and requested it. There would have been a better chance someone would have been MADE available. Hotels often are very short of staff until 8AM.

2) You knew you needed a trolley early in the morning - you should have kept it in your room or in the hallway overnight. I do this all the time because I bring a lot of things into my room - even for an overnight stay - because I don't want to leave them in my car. Trolley's are in limited supply. You could have asked for them to keep a watch out for one and to hold it when it was returned - but that is the most you can expect except in a very expensive hotel.

3) As soon as you arrived in the room and found the bathroom dirty you should have complained and requested a different room. Sometimes rooms are not cleaned that the front desk think are cleaned. This kind of thing is no big deal and could have been easily dealt with.

Sounds to me you wanted 4 star service from a 1 star hotel. You get what you pay for and what your insist on and prepare for. You can write a complaint to the corporate office, but I doubt it will get you anything but an apology.

There is no "disability" to write to. A formal complaint would go to the Department of Justice and this simply is not the level of complaint they deal with.

I have found that with few exceptions business people are more than happy to accommodate my disabilities ( and I need far more help than you) if I explain what I need and give them adequate notice. I would love things to be just accessible, but it just isn't so.

call the head office of the hotel. everyone has to answer to somebody.

Hi,
if you are who I think you are, call Ann Monroe in Homestead,FL. She will know how to do this. I am her granddaughter, and I have seen this same screen name on things she forwards to me. She has been a world traveller and i think she can help you. God bless you and I hope I can be of some help.
Best Wishes,
mari

i travel a lot and have a child who is disabled. i have not had issues this bad. but under ada laws they do not have to help with luggage. imo when i travel alone with my dd i have to travel with her and a wheelchair she can walk but has autism. it just make life a lot easier. if you have a bad back you may want to reconider what you travel with as well. that said most ppl are helpful but they sound a bit rude or lazy.
