Are red nails OK in state service office?

I don't think it is a question of color as much as it is length and "art." It's unprofessional to have superlong nails with obscene airbrushing. I used to work in the public sctor and never had problems with my nails as long as they were short and clean. Hope this helps :)

I think more subtle colors would be appropriate. Red, however, would probably be acceptable for Christmas.

Keep them short and filed square and they look good, if they are long and pointy then it looks a bit tarty

Personally I think red nails are more suitable for evening wear because then you are going for impact. Paler shades are more suitable for work and daytime use.

I feel as long as you are dressed in a business way and your nails look great, it should NOT matter WHAT THE COLOR IS, (well as long as they ain't platinum blue or some yucky color like that) But YES, RED SHOULD BE FINE AS RED WINE!!!
Have you ever had your nails "Air Brushed"? If not, ah, it is an experience you sure need to have, especially if you have "those long, gracious nails"!!

i personally think red nails are very classy. make sure theyre in good condition and look neat. if you wear a suit and all that then def.
