Microsoft Office 2003 Update - Service Pack 2 or 3?

I recently installed Office 2003, but could not get the service pack 2 cd's that came with it to download & install. I finally chose to run my Windows updates and received Windows service pack 3 for my Office 2003 software. I'm thinking that this would surpass the service pack 2, but not sure. Is it still necessary for me to install the service pack 2? I'm wondering because why would the send me the service pack 2 cd's if they're not even needed anymore?
Anyway, I could use some help figuring this one out so any useful advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks..

sp 3 supercedes sp2. if you have 3 installed, don't sweat 2

service pack 2 is not a requirement for service pack 3...
if you successfully install or update your service pack 3...then i think your done....
