Can't update Office XP Service Pack 3?

everytime i switch on i get the yellow shield appear for updates on my norton protection centre. Tried to update but says it cant because it cant find a path and that I need to enter a path to PRO MSI.

Any ideas please anyone, is this available as a free download?

Thanks Raymond. I have tried to download office xp as recommended, however I have checked and I do not have installer under my c drive with Pro MSI??????????? that why it can't download as it keeps asking for this path. Any suggestions?

This has nothing to do with Norton. This is an MS problem it is looking for the file:

C:\Windows\Installer\proplus.msi

If you do not have the Office XP CD then you can download SP3 for a certain location (not MS) and it will install without asking for the disk.

disable your norton and then try

Norton gives you nothing but trouble try and get rid i say try because its the biggest viral leach there is going, its proberbly american and does not understand english words. then install one that help you follow this advice for easier computer control.

It may be possible to obtain help direct from microsoft from their online helpline, the instructions on how to get help, will be in your windows start menu, which is displayed on your windows desktop. They will give step by step guidance and I'm sure you can achieve your goal - with their help. Best of luck, from Dave. ( best of all, this is a free service, from Microsoft)
