What expenses are associated with US congressional service? Who pays for the office staff, etc.?

Who pays for congressional staff?
Who pays for the office, staff in the district?
Are these expenses covered by campaign money, the personal funds of the congressman, the party, or the government?

Tax payers pay it all. Count on it. The US Congress spends in total about $ 535 million Per year. Congress has never worked less in the History of our Country since 1948. They now work only two days per week. Each member in Congress is paid base pay of $165,000 or more. Add expenses and you come up with about $1 million each.

each person elected to the Congress of the USA gets an expense account that totals in the many thousands of dollars.

WE pay for their expenses thru the IRS's collection of personal taxes.

to you who wants to run for congress, i believe the tax payers pay all expenses. staff is paid by tax dollars.
