Web service that automatically sends emails after my death.?

I am looking for a web service that will automatically send an email (or snail mail a document) if I should die. I expect that the service would allow me to "check in" with them periodically to let them know that I am still alive. If I fail to check in with them after a specified period of time, they would email my predefined document to the people I have specified.

Does anything like this exist? If this does not exist as a web service, does a non-internet based service exist that does the same thing, except through the postal office?

Your best bet is to give the document to someone close to you that sees you on a regular basis with explicit instructions as what to do with it when the time comes.

Better yet rent a safe deposit box at a bank and hire a lawyer or appoint some one as power of attorney and give them instructions as what to do with the document I would not rely on email I would type up what ever the message or documents are and put them in a sealed enelope and put them in a safe deposit box Give the bank instructions to notifiy a specific person to pick up the contents of your box if they do not here from you in an x amount of days or do not recieve a box rental payment say within a month of the due date. If you are ill or in fear for your life then it would be a good time to write up a living will in which you can state that this specific person is to claim the contents of this deposit box giving them access to your documents as well. Other than that i don't know what else you could do but hopefully this will give you some ideas as what you can do.

I don't think so, only because a lot of people forget to check their e-mails. Plus if you were in the hospital or somewhere else away from your computer, it would tell everyone you're dead, and that would cause more problems than it's worth.
