Where might I find info on WWI-era American army service insignia? |
I'm trying to date my grandfather's army enlistment photo by the bronze insignia on his collar. It bears crossed rifles (infantry) and the letters "HQ" (he served as an office worker). If I knew the year(s) that particular service device was issued, it might be possible to date the photo accurately.
