Has anyone successfully recovered a stolen yahoo account?

My original yahoo account has been hijacked. I have not forgotten my user id or password, they've been consistant for many years. I clicked on a link for Yahoo Photos sent to me through Yahoo Instant messenger by someone who had already hijacked my cousin's username. That link asked me to login to my yahoo photos account, and so I did. At that point I was locked out of my account and repeatedly told that my password was incorrect. I have been in daily e-mail communication with the Yahoo Security people (most of which has been automated responses) since this happened about a week ago. I intend to be obnoxiously persistant because this was a personal account and contains personal e-mails, photos and other things which are very important to me. I have yet to find a contact telephone number for Yahoo Security, but I intend to directly call their customer service office this afternoon. Has anyone successfully recovered or restored a stolen account?

Yes, I have. Some time ago someone figured out my password (it was a stupid one and easy to figure out). The thief had changed the password but I was able to get my account back by selecting the "Forgot your password?" option on the mail login page. I followed the steps by answering the Yahoo security questions and then answering the personal details (like my birthdate and zip code). The automated Yahoo system gave me access immediately after that. Then I changed my password to a more secure one and I haven't had any problems since.

I think the same is happening to me. I changed my password and but I don't think that helped.
