I'm on probation and need to find a job but it's hard. Is there a website I can go to?

I'm currently on a Felony probation and find it real hard to find a job. Is there a website I can go to that helps people like me find a job? I have years of customer service/office experience.

Usually you P.O is a good source of contacts for employment.If it was me I would try there first. When you report I would talk to others that are waiting to see their P.O since they are in the same boat. Hang in there and dont forget you CAN do it.

Many construction jobs don't do a background check. I would forget a cheesy job like you have had in the past.

Hi, my advice would be to ask your probation officer. He/she should have a list of local employers who hire felons.

I think you should go to a local technical college and ask about apprenticeship. You can start at a technical college even while studying for a GED. One job they could train you for is a chef. Chef's could be convicted of about anything and still get a job anywhere. Best of luck.

Join the club buddy, I'm in the same situation. I've been rejected one to many times and I'm on probation for a minor crime. What state your from? Any way utilize this website because it's a stepping stone to helping people with conviction get back into the main stream of life with respect to employment. You are you are eligible to apply for a bond which covers you if a employer hires you. It's free of charge for the person with the conviction and the employer. Most low level government jobs will not discriminate and have good bennefits. A gov. job is worth a lot more than the pay: your have a lot of vacation, state holidays or holiday pay, regular rasies, medical, optional dental and optical for cheap.
Also, you can't get fired easily from a gov. job, not without a lot of documentation. Recap: less descrim, more bennies, more rights.
