What does a tear case mean when the Texas Department of human services says that to me?

I called my local department human services office to ask for a copy of my sons medicaid card. They told me they couldn't bring up my case and it was listed as a Tear Case. What that means i don't know but they wouldn't tell me!

If anyone knows what a Tear Case is or means let me know PLEASE!

Are you certain that it was Tear, and not Tier?

From what I understand, is that welfare to work programs put you through several tiers to ween you off of public aid as you are more able to provide for yourself.

Perhaps that is what was ment, I don't know. Perhaps your child's record is being reviewed.

Of course it is entirely possible the person didn't understand what you wanted and fed you a line of crap to get you off the phone. Try calling again, or meet with your case manager.
