Postal Service...Do's and Don'ts....?

I was at the post office today. I have a mailbox that I couldn't open for almost 3 weeks now. I had complained to the Post office officer and had asked if they could check whether my box is full of mail or not. Also, I had told them that I had complained before and no one had informed me what was the procedures to get things done. So, what is your opinion when a government servant pretends that he knows nothing and then ignores your requests. What would you do?

Oops!!! Forgot to mention one thing....

My P.O. Box is actually rented at the post office lot. So, I have mail sent there and I go to the post office to pick it up.

Hope that clears up some stuff.

nag them until they give in and be assertive and firm
The postal service are lazy, they had better clean up their act quickly or no-one will bother with them any more. I bought plants from suttons two months ago and they still haven't arrived. The last batch that came had been lying for so long that the plants were rotten and mildewy.

realize that is the gov, save my breath in the first place, and question everything at all times to ensure you know what is going on.

welcome to the world of no customer service. it died out about 10 yrs ago. to complain will get you no where anymore but your item, food or services damaged.

Well, you're quite clearly suffering from a repressive libido complex, probably the product of an unhappy childhood, coupledwith acute insecurity in adolescence, which has resulted in an attenuation of the libido complex

I would leave a note on my door saying, postman please ring my bell I need to speak with you. Then drag him indoors and refuse to let him go unless he helps you.
It's digusting service. I'm a postie in England and I'd go out of my way to help a customer, if I could. If I can't help then I'll pass them on to someone who can !!

Where is your mailbox? If it is a private mailbox such as in an apartment building or on your house, it is your responsibility, or the building owners responsibility to get it repaired, not the Post Office. If it is Postal equipment, they must and will repair it. If the box belongs to the Post Office, write a letter addressed to Post Master, at your local Post Office. If it is a private box, call the building owner and complain. You are not being effective for some reason and complaining here is not going to get things done.

I would rent a box at the UPS station. It used to be called Mail Boxes Etc.,I think that would solve the problem.
