When is does the US Postal Service postmark mail? |
Does the USPS postmark all mail posted on a certain date the same day it's posted. If a person posted something today but the post office was closed by 2 pm but another post office closed by 4 and still another closed by 7, would the mail posted in the office that closed by 2 be postmarked for the date it was posted? Does the USPS pick up all mail at a certain time irrespective of whether the office the mail was posted in was closed or not? Yes. When you drop mail 'in' a US Post office, it will be postmarked the same day you 'mailed' it. Generally Rocky is correct. |
