Indian Information Services (Civil service examination)?

I am looking for information on IIS examinations. I need to know how to go about the whole thing. The UPSC web site does not help me much. Any help would be really appreciated! Is there some government office I can go to get such information? Please help!

IIS is having two groups. for Group A direct you have to take the UPSC exam with your option as IIS.
* For group B, UPSC advertises once every five/ten years. All graduates with degree/diploma in journalism/mass com with minimum 3 years of exp. in media are eligible to apply.
* For Group B, Jr. (non-gazetted) candidates with exp. of one year can apply.
Group B recruitment is not done every year. Group A you can apply any year now.
Group A starts at 8000 starting basic with time scale.
Group B Sr. starts at 6500 starting basic with unknown rules.
