I am in need of help on a power bill who do i go to in missouri?

I just had surgery and have three kids and a mother on oxygern and breathing equipment ..Who do i turn to for help when i have asked our locol community services office they will give me $300 but i gotta com e up with the other $600 help me please

Have you tried calling power company to put the remaining balance on payment plan. Call churches they sometimes help people in need. I know what your going through God bless Good luck i will keep you in my prayers

try also salvation army, catholic charitites, call the health department and see if they know anyplace that can help you

Do you have a Salvation Army in your area? Sometimes they will help, also try the churches (someone else suggested).

Also, I don't know if you have this, but I had to get my father put on a special list with the power company because of him being on oxygen, so if something would happen like the power goes out this lets them know who need the electricity more. Check and see if they have something like this.

Contact the Utillity company. Let them know of your difficulties and maybe they can work out a payment option. Try also the community action agency there or any state run help agency. Are you collecting SSI for your mom that can help make some payments too. And also since you're taking care of a sick person like your mom some states actually pay you to do that so contact them to find out. As for your kids I hate to say this but you can put them on welfare to at least get gov. $$ to help with food and other expenses for them. Last do you have another job besides mom and kids and your mother? Get a PT job it may help to offset some of the cost. Also try your church.
