According to Robert's rules pertaining to Volunteer Ambulance Service, Setting prerequisites for chief officer

This is an elected office and members that have not attend meetings or ran vary few to not at all on the Amb, feel they have the right to run for said office. We have an amendment in place waiting for approval. I would like some supporting evidence. All that is required now is 21 years of age and an EMT-B. The amendment reads the indivigual must attened 60% of schudualded meetings and attempt to respond to 40% af all calls. In Addition to being 21 and an EMT. To be eligiable to run for chief officer

Any organization may set rules that are not in conflict with local, state or federal laws.

The rules sounds reasonable for a Vol Amb Corps to set 'professional' requirements and minimum age and service commitments. If few members make anywhere near 40% of 'calls' then I'd lower the number. (E.g., if only one or two members meet the 40% or more level, this is too restrictive.)
