I tried to add service pack 2 from windows and it wont install?

a window pops up and says "office hotfix installer encounter a problem" what could it be ? is there any othe way to install sp2

seems like you are trying to install office hot fixes along with SP2

install SP2 only 1st

You can order an SP2 CD from Microsoft. They'll ship it to you free of charge if your XP is legitimate.
