REALTORS庐, Am I being "recruited" and a question about office services?

A REMax associate called me saying they were looking to partner with an agent to handle some buyer prospects in my area but there is a REMax right next door to my office (a different brokerage, of course). I haven't answered the message yet.
Also, I teach computer classes part time and my brokerage is not the most technologically advanced. My manager has asked me to teach a few classes which I could do with my eyes closed, what if anything should I charge....money hasn't been mentioned yet. Again, I do this for a living about 10 hours/week.
Thanks!!!

Don't teach any classes that you are not being paid for. Why train your competition? This is a business about being better than the next guy and offering better service, don't lose your edge.

i think they are trying to recruit you maybe that will lead to some great connections on the other side. and about the classes i would definately ask nicely if this is something that will be on a regularly basis so that will may lead way to ask about the money situation. be reasonable but you should get paid for your services.

There are two possibilities

1) You are being recruited

2) They are looking for referrals to them if you have any clients moving their way. Be assured that with one of their franchises next door, they're not going to send you anybody qualified. This is a regular occurence. Everybody wants to find clients without working. If you doubt me, wait until they send you a client before you send them one. If they've really got it, they should be sending you one PDQ.
