Is Yahoo's 'Terms of service' in part, a violation of the U.S. Constitution, 2ND amendment? |
The main office is in Sunnyvail, Ca. That, last time I checked was in the USA. okay sorry, type-o hit the two instead of one... sue me. OK, ya got the Amendment thing corrected...now to the substance: Yep- "poseur" is his signature part of his ID. Just had another run in with him, and some poor female poster has been getting nasty email from him. Yep- "poseur" is his signature part of his ID. Last I checked Yahoo is not a government institution, but rather a private business thus they are not restricted to the Constitution. The 2nd amendment only applies to government interference of free speech. Last time I checked Yahoo is not a government entity. What Yahoo does or doesn't do has no effect on your freedom of speech. What does posting on Yahoo have to do with bearing arms? The terms of service would not be a problem if they would enforce them properly. Ya its the first amendment-----the only case you could make against Yahoo is if they discriminated based on race or religion or gender Nope. This is their playground, their rules. Just like a newspaper. Probably not. If you cursed and ridicule people in many public places, you will be asked to leave, that's all. Yahoo is not run by the government. It is a private company and you agreed to the terms of service before joining. You have the right to not join if you do not agree to the terms. You don't have any constitutional rights against a private company. The individual who posted above is absolutely correct. You can thumb us down all you want, but it won't change the law -- the Constitution defines the limits of the government's -- THE GOVERNMENT'S, THE GOVERNMENT'S -- power over individuals and private entities, not the authority of individuals and private entities over each other. |
