So, I kind of raised my voice with this customer service person, am I wrong?

I have never relaly done that before, but he freaked me out.

This guy works for the loan department for my school, and he gave me wrong information about my credits for school. The way he said was very "matter of fact". And I was never told of this, nor was it on the website. And he said my loans were cancelled and that I had to wait an addition 2 to 4 weeks to have the reinstated for the fall sememester. I was really upsoet becauseo f hte lack of information that I raised my voice to him. So, i changed my schedule to reflect what he said.

I called the loan office back, and the woman said he was wrong and that my schedule was fine.

Was I wrong to get upset with this guy? I feel bad.

no, incompentancy is never an excuse for poor customer service....if they don't like their job then maybe they need another one.

gosh no, i don't even have to read your paragraph here, just your question. it is always acceptable to get mad at customer "service", seeing as how they act. tell them whatever you want, just don't threaten them.

Hmm just apologise the next time.

Oh, it's never really right to be rude, but they do have a job to do and they're supposed to do it right.

It's not that serious,it happens to the best of us.

No, I think you had a right to get your hackles up, but you'll find that it won't get you anywhere with these people. You have to be calm and respectful in order to get anywhere, and you'll usually have to go to their supervisor for any satisfaction. A good rule of thumb is to remember what would motivate you to go out of your way to help someone. Getting hacked off won't do it.

No, it's ok to be upset and it's ok to feel bad about it. he's probably used to it. maybe call him and say you are sorry!

Not only were you not wrong about it, but I would have called him back to let him know how wrong he was.

yes. send him a letter of apology and take him out to dinner

No he should apologise to you

It's not wrong at all.

I don't blame you for getting upset about something so important. Don't worry about it. You should be glad he was wrong! My tip for dealing with people who make mistakes like his - don't ever deal with them again. If you have to call the office again, make certain you speak to the lady who gave you the right information, because she's efficient.

nope, i dont think so

although i always feel bad after i done something bad to someone

^^

Its okay to raise your voice some times as long as your ("beautiful") and young not one of those fat and really old person like 30,40,50 or whtever You really need to look at the mirror some times if that's the case, and if I was the customer service that you've shouted even if its not my fault or your fault. Its a total turn off! and unprofessional mostly in public. Immaturity also comes in mind.

I think you were proved right when the lady said he was wrong. I try not to get excited but I get very frustrated with incompetent boobs screwing up and not having to take responsibility. Worse than that, is when they are instructed as a course of company policy to beat the customer up until they give in.

BTW, DirecTV SUCKS!
