How do you find out if the U.S. Postal Service has an exam you take to apply for a job and its legitamisy.? |
I want to know if study materials to take the us postal test is recommemded or needed? How do you know the study guides are for real? How do you make sure you are not being used or someone is taking your money? Does anyone know the process for applying for a job at the post office? You can go to the USPS.COM website. They list all job openings and the requirements. Once you have decided on which job you want to apply for they will send you via mail the location and materials needed for the exam. Good Luck! you don't have to pay for anything its a civil service exam and can be obtained from any government office I took the exam about 5 years ago .. I don't know where you live at but here in NYC you can pick up the newspaper "The Chief" and they can tell you about civil service/government exams coming up. Either that or go to you local Post Office and ask. BTW, I passed the exam but turned it down. As for study materials, most of it was common sense but you can go to a book store like Barnes and Noble's Civil Service exam section and there's a prep book for the post office. Good luck. It's a civil service/union job, so there's an application and test. I would ask the local post office or go to their website about employment details and/or possible study materials. Their website is www.usps.gov. The only thing I got useful out of taking a course on the postal exam was useful on one section. There's a part of the test that requires you to memorize five address ranges. The course said to memorize only the first four. If you didn't recognize an address then it would go in number 5 range. You do have to take an exam and you can apply online, is the best way and then they set a date for applicants who have sent an application to take the exam the best thing you can do is go to the us postal web site and go to the bottom of the page and click on jobs |
