Would you pay a monthly fee for an online service where you can interact with other moms if you have concerns?

if you could log in and clint on the sex of your baby how old your baby is and get into a section where moms with a similar sex baby in the same age group coudl talk to you about similar issues, or health problems. Woudl you pay maybe a $20 a month membership fee? instead of draging your kid to a pediatrician's office, with bunch of other kids, to get useless advice from a doctor who doesn't knwo anything.

sorry miss typed

No. There are plenty of great sites that offer similar services, for free. Pediatricians don't always have the best advice, but that doesn't mean they "don't know anything". They can make mistakes, or not be up to date on current recommendations, but there's something to be said for a medical degree.

Heck, Babycenter.com offers everything you mentioned, for free, with added bonuses for paid users. Mothering.com has fantastic forums for women who are interested in a crunchier view of parenting.

No thats what Yahoo! Answers is for, you don't want great advice from us? :( i'm sad

Lol j/k no i wouldn't pay for advice, I would use this forum or go to babycenter.com, Good Luck

No way. $20 is steep. $20 is a co-pay for the doctor. That鈥檚 like paying to go to my doctor every month.

Why would I pay for something that we have for free on YahooAnswers right now?

If I were interested in something like that, I鈥檇 pay no more than 3.95 a month.

I personally wouldn't because there are not very many questions that I can't find an answer to on the internet already! Why would I pay for it?

I wouldn't personally, but I'm sure there are a lot of suckers out there that would... if you're looking to start something up.

no. It is cheaper to go to the doctor, or I can just call the doctor for free. there are also a billion free forums as well.

no. You can do that here or on free boards

Nope. Personally, I have four kids ranging from high-school down to a toddler, and there aren't that many questions left at this point.

When my first was a baby, the best resource out there was (and still is) free: calling mom. As for any medical concerns that I didn't want to wait for a trip to the pediatrician to address, any medical insurance company I've ever gone through and every pediatrician has been associated with an after-hours hot-line manned by an RN or PA who has always been extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

no because there are sites that are free.

no, but you can join a group called the unsupermoms.

www.unsupermoms.com

no

No. Maybe a $1.00 a month if it was an ongoing community where you could talk to the same people if you chose to instead of just random advice from strangers. But Yahoo answers is great for support and help!
