To make a long story short i took my company to this restau. and the service was just awful the waitor was rud

very rude and I really felt the need to write a letter to the coorporate office how should i start the letter and i dont want to be too harsh.

dear assfaces...

due to your rude and egocentric servers at your restaurant, i am forced to tell all my friends that i witnessed your head chef pooing in the salad bar. unless you wish otherwise, please send me coupons to that restaurant so i may come again and throw money away at your crappy-*** restaurant.

In conclusion, go f*ck yourselves
Sincerely,

[insert your name here]

there you go, just copy and paste this, you'll be fine... no need to thank me.

Give them the date, the location, the name of the server, and a couple of examples of why you are unhappy. By just stating the facts (i.e. "he was rude") without stooping to insults (i.e. "he was a jerk"), you should come across fine.

Just be honest and tell them the facts and nothing more. The facts will stand on their own.

Just start by telling them when you went, where the restaurant is, the occassion and reason you went to their restaurant, and then specially tell them what happened and how the waiter was rude to you. If you have names of the waiter and manager that would help. End the letter by saying "Based on the experience we had in your restaurant, there is no way you would ever return or recommend to any of your friends or family that they consider going to that restaurant if customers are treated so poorly."

Best case is that you'll feel good about sending the letter and you probably will get a free coupon to go back.

I recently had a luncheon at your restaurant. Although the food was very nice, I feel the need to address the service, and in particular, one waitor who served us. I felt that his service and attitude was majorly lacking, and made our dining experience....

Open your letter with compliments of the restaurant, if you have visited it before. BE HARSH!!!!! If the business gets enough complaints, the person would be removed, retrained or an RCA(root cause & analysis) may be done to see if it's a local or regional problem.

You could always call ahead, providing that you have a number for the corporate headquarters, and find out who would handle such letters. In that case, you would just address the person by their last name, such as Mr. So-in-so. If you're unsure of who would handle your complaint, addressing the person as "To whom it may concern" is perfectly acceptable.

As for the remainder of your letter, include the time, date and location of your problem. Give a concise and informative statement regarding the service you received and what you didn't like about it. Keep it simple and too the point, don't use slang or obscenities.

Is this somewhere you've been before and enjoyed the food and service? If so, begin your letter by stating that. From there simply, clearly, but politely describe what happened. Be sure to include the address of the resturant, the date and time of your visit and the name of the server.
Don't ask for your money back - that makes it sound like you're just trying to get someting for nothing. With a reasonable complaint that is well documented, they might send you a gift certificate for a future visit.

By all means, let the corporate headquarters know about your experience. The worst that can happen is nothing, and if you're lucky, you might get some free meal coupons or something of that nature.

The proper opening for a letter of this sort is:

Dear Sirs:

You might go on to say something of this nature:

While entertaining guests, I visited your restaurant in Dayton on the third of July at around 6:30 PM. Unlike other visits to your restaurant, my meal was less than satisfactory, and I was embarrassed in front of my guests.

Then go on to describe the incident truthfully, and how it affected you and your guests. Be sure to give a contact address and phone number in case they want to follow up directly.

May I suggest that you use a spell checker, and have someone well versed in grammar proofread your letter? You stand a better chance of being taken seriously if your letter looks like it came from an educated adult. Not a put down, but a sincere suggestion.
