Reinstalling Vista help!?

I just build my computer few days ago and it worked great! I installed vista (OEM system builder's pack), and bunch of other programs, and it worked great also.
Yesterday, i installed Office 07 service pack, and i think my firewall kinda screwed up the installation and now, my office 07 wont load and keeps saying a file is missing. I reinstalled office 07 several times, it still wont work and still get the same problem.

Now, im planning to reinstall Vista. I already have activated vista, and i want to reformat everything and activate vista again. Will the activation work well? Im realy scared because i have a feeling that activation might not work.

If it is installed in the same computer you can re install and re activate as many times as you want.

it might if it dosent then contact microsoft explaining your situation they might give you a new activation code if you give them a serial or proof that its a real version etc.

Been there, done that, got the T shirt. Sure, it will work fine. I wouldn't do it though.

First, try to revert the system to the point before you installed Office--System Restore. This should "uninstall" Office shards.

I have installed Office 2007 SP1 but had no problems so I suspect it's something else. RAM? Be sure to have AT LEAST 1.5GB. I have 2-4GB on all of my (3) Vista systems.

I have parents who know everything there is possibly to know about computers, yet I can't help you, anyway Vista, SUX, even my computer profession dad says so, get another program.

Yes, you can re-format your computer and then put the same key back into the PC. It will work fine, and if, buy chance it doesn't. You can phone them and they give you another one to enter for free over the phone.

The re-activation will work fine. We have had to do that several times with several different computers as we updated our shop computers and customers. Everytime you make a hardware change you sometimes have to re-activate windows. It isn't a problem; just type in your key and activate online. If it doesn't activate, call the 1800 number that it will list and go through the prompts. When the operator asks you why you are re-activating just explain that you had to re-install.

You can also do a system restore- which will save you the time and headache.

When you restart, hit f8. go into safe mode, and then restore to an earlier checkpoint.

this will solve the issue
