Can anyone tell me the importance of an update that says its important.?

the update in question is the microsoft office suite service pack one 193 mb 2007 i do not have the micro office suite on my computer, but if its really important i do not want to ignore the update, can anyone advise me on this.

If you do not have the program it makes no sense to update a file for it.

You probably have Microsoft Office in Add and Remove Programs . Check and see and Remove . If the update keeps popping up , select Custom and uncheck , then check the box that reads something like "do not remind me of this update again" .
