Should I complain to my optometrist?

I have noticed that the customer service @ my optometrist office is going down hill. The girls who work in the front of the office are rude and obnoxious. They talk about customers in really loud voices and the office is not big so everyone can hear them. The two optometrist who work there seem obvious to the problem. I really like my optometrist so I don't want to stop going to him...but I am considering it because of these girls. I don't know how I would go about complaining to him. I work in customer service so I know some days can be bad days but I have been back three times in the past week and I have received rude service all three times!

You could write an anonymous letter to the optometrist about your experiences
The reason that I suggest you write it anonymously because that way you can say what you really think needs to be said without worrying about him feeling like he needs to apologize to you.

Hopefully, after he receives the letter you will see an improvement in the professionalism of the people that are representing his business.

have a sit down with your optometrist they might not know what is going on

There is no excuse for bad service. This doesn't, however, seem to be your optometrist's fault. Instead of quote "complaining" you should politely explain the problem your having with the girls at customer service. If your optometrist is as good as you say he is he won't be angry about you saying this. Most of the time people are glad when they are informed face to face by their customers that their employees are not up to scratch. It helps them become better. I'm sure he would really appreciate the gester.

Tell him.
Someone needs to.

Your optometrist would probably value the info you provide. Give details about how unprofessional the staff acts and let him/her know you are considering leaving the practice.

If your opteometrist doesn't know, he will appreciate your telling him rather than having to lose a regular patient.
