$25 fee for doctors office will it go on my credit?

I am being charged $25 for a missed doctors appointment that I didn't make. I believe what I did was call around and inquired with doctor offices, but I never made an appointment and now I'm receiving a bill for Oct 11 @ 330. I called MY doctor and I was at their office on Oct 11 @ 300 so there could have been no way I made that apt. I had the MY doc's office fax that info to them and the woman at the one that I "owe" money to is very rude and nasty. I have came to the conclusion that I rather pay a debt collector that this office. So my question is, will a debt collector take a fee for as low as $25 and put it on my credit report. I'm not paying that office because of the incredibly poor service I received.

i worked in a doctors office and yes it will affect your credit
usually they wait after 90 days of none payment to send it to collections then it goes from $25 to a lot more b/c of fees

if I were you i would just pay $25 then losing points on my credit and having to pay for it later on with higher interest on anything else you get such as credit cards or loans

I have worked in a few medical offices. They will send you to a collection agency. You are better off asking for the Practice Manager; speaking with them. If you do not pay they will refuse any service to you until it is paid in full.

If they elect to turn it over for collection, it will go on your credit report. Yes, there are collectors who will take such small issues. Pay it off and have it over and done with. For $25, it's not worth the hassle.
