Would you report your neighbor if you think he hates our Country?

In California, by September 25, 2001, the governor and attorney general along with the Highway Patrol and the Office of Emergency Services formed the California Anti-Terrorism Information Center. The Center is created to analyze and process the thousands of tips and leads of suspicious activity that began pouring into state law enforcement agencies in the days following September 11th. The effort has been to separate the wheat from the chaff and disseminate to law enforcement information that truly reflects suspicious activity or reliably warrants concern. In just January and February of this year, 1,615 subjects were reported to the database. Two Hundred and twenty eight of them had criminal histories and 330 were the subjects of ongoing investigations. The center services an average of 56 law enforcement agencies per week, and monitors 40 open anti-terrorist investigations.

If I felt my neighbor hated this country enough to do harm I would not hesitate. If they are just letting off steam that is another issue.

. . . But "feeling" that Saddam Hussein had the means "to harm" this country is why the neocons got us into this interminable, ineffective, illegal, imperialistic invasion and occupation of Baghdad. If they hadn't lied about the "hard evidence," . . . Report It

Should Congress be investigating some of the secrecy of this administration? Absolutely yes. May I report my concern to others? You bet. But impeachment requires evidence, and evidence requires investigation. And this Congress has an embargo on investigations. Report It

Yes I would report a neighbor the preacher or anyone else that gave an indication that they could possibly do destruction. They have no right to come to this country to terrorize people.

If I had suspicions that the neighbour was planning some action against American society, yes I would. We as Americans should always keep our eyes and ears open, especially during these times. What if 1 single tip-off could have prevented 9-11, many lives would not have been lost. It is the responsibility of all Americans to keep her safe.

Um, I would never report a neighbor for hating my country. He can hate what he likes. We have something called the first ammendment.

I *would* report a neighbor for materially supporting an enemy of my country, or for indicating plans to attack the country in some way.

This is a very important distinction, and the headline of your post confuses the distinction. Don't do that! I don't want Americans to start thinking they're all the thought police for the mere opinions of their neighbors. That's disgusting.
