Reinstalling Vista help?

i just built my computer couple days ago.... now im having some problems installing office 07.... i installed service pack and it just screwed it up really badly. i reinstalled office 07 several times and it just wont work. system restore doesnt seem to help.

I used Vista OEM DVD to install vista on my comp. I have some questions. Will vista activation work? Will everything else turn out good?

From what I known, the only activation that works is the legit copy of Windows. Other than that, it won't update (which isn't that bad, so to speak), but the WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) is VERY annoying.

Sounds like the service pack maybe the route of the problem. If you install vista with that dvd and reinstall it on the same machine with all the same specs you should be in the clear. Try install office right away after fresh os install. Vista is really unstable though, can't wait until microsoft gets it together, until then good luck my friend. XP is still on my desktop =D

You should definitely activate Vista, or else it will expire and not function correctly. It sounds like you're having a lot of problems. I suggest you back-up your personal files onto an external hard drive, reformat your computer and reinstall everything.
