Why is KBR & Haliburton rebiding for projects in Iraq if they have already been caught overcharging taxpayers?

Why doesn't a conviction mean they can't bid on all the projects??

If they were individuals they would be abnned from running for office or tendering services to the government

because I want more money

not only is there the fact that you don't run a company capable of offering the services that those companies do, you probably don't even know of one.

then, there's that convicted felon in Texas who is running, and when questioned, says he "can't remember" his trial, or serving 6 months in PRISON. he isn't "abnned" - here's the story d.u.m.b.a.s.s.

I have known people fired from Federal & State goverment
jobs & be rehired. Do you not believe in 2nd chances? Sure you do - look at Ted Kennedy.

They weren't convicted of anything, it never got to court because it wasn't a criminal offense. The contracts they signed were set at preestablished rates during the Clinton administration. The bills were sent at current rates. The matter was resolved, accounting error, no harm no foul.
