Is this a "good" cover letter for an entry level electrical engineering position?

My degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and my experience in customer service has sharpened my professional office skills, which are complemented by a positive, can-do attitude, excellent listening , and my commitment to quality and accuracy. I believe in understanding the technical industry from the ground-up and working as an electronics technician for a year has given me skills to design and conduct electronic tests, analyze and report the test data, and make recommendations for follow-up actions.

I believe there is a potential for me to become a valuable asset to the company and I am certain that by working together I can contribute to the company's health and growth . I look forward to speaking with you and thank you for considering me for this position.

you need some proofreading as there are spelling and punctuation errors.

your letter shows zero knowledge of what lasko does. you need to show that you can contribute to their business.

it needs to show how your experience and education lines up with their needs.

your letter is pretty general and shows no real research or knowledge of their business.

i mean what does "i believe in understanding the technical industry from the ground up" mean? it's mumbo jumbo. put something real in there not platitudes.

Take out the "allow me to highlight how I can be a valued asset to lasko". Just take the sentence out.

Also you talk about how you have a can do attitude, excellent listening and commitment to quality and accuracy. Thats great if those were listed in the job listing. if the Job listening asked for great analysis, new project development, and
research skills, then you would mention those in your cover letter...basically in a cover you tell the company

YOU NEED A, B, C and I can Provide A,B C

if the company needs A B C and you tell them all about your
B D G, they might skip over your cover letter and pass you by.
