Remote connect to SQL Server 2005 at home from private/office network? |
I'm green on this networking stuff so any help is greatly appreciated. Yes, I have static IP address from my ISP. Does your home internet connection to your ISP have a static IP Address assigned? If it's dynamic this may be the reason. You will need to allow permissions from the SQL server at your office. Then I'm assuming you already have an SQL browser so just put your information in and it will connect. Make sure that requests on these ports are not filtered by you office firewall. |
